Survivor Stories

A live panel of actual responders and survivors will share personal accounts of response, survival, and recovery. When there is breaking news of a shooting, all of society tunes in. But news outlets mostly focus on the initial response and immediate aftermath. Seldom do we hear the personal –often heroic – accounts of those who were actually there. This in-person gathering offers a rare glimpse into the challenges faced by actual responders and survivors, but its ultimate goal is to promote resilience and recovery.
